UV Curable CoatingsMonocure has been developing UV curable coatings for the printing, packaging and label industries since the technology first arrived in Australia. UV curable coatings are utilised and preferred to aqueous coatings where a glossier and more durable finish is required. Our UV coatings match the gloss levels of gloss clear and matt cello film. They are used in conjunction with UV inks and digital inks, or over an aqueous primer where conventional lithographic inks are used in-line on a twin coater press.
Sheetfed: Gloss, Satin, Matt. Benzophenone Free (low odour), Foilable and Gluable Coatings. Coatings for Digital Inks.
Application can be by anilox coater or a nip blanket roller system. These are suitable over UV or conventional lithographic inks. An aqueous primer is recommended for in-line conventional inks with presses fitted with twin coaters. They are designed to run with press speeds of up to 13,000 impressions per hour. Including Magazine Covers, Posters, Catalogues, Carton and Packaging Work etc.
Application of these products can be via an ink duct on either a dry plate or a wet lithographic plate for all UV, HUV, LED curing systems.
Wide Web Coatings: Gloss.
Designed for over coating heat-set Inks for magazine covers & catalogues on wide-web heat-set presses. Coatings are usually applied in-line through an anilox coater at high speeds of up to 35,000 impressions per hour.
Narrow Web Coatings: Gloss, Satin, Matt, Ultra Matt, Water Resistant, Foilable, Textured.
