Aqueous UV Curable
Monocure introduced Aqueous UV Timber Coatings 10 years ago. The product is used primarily for timber window shutters, and this has extended to wall panelling and skirting boards. Stains can be added to enhance the colour and create uniformity.

The same coating inhibits tannin bleed in flooring, but a conventional board with a UV topcoat is required for the finished flooring.

A new method of in-house UV Curing is being trialled using a hand held movable UV curing unit. Floors can be prepared and coated in as little as 3 hours, and walked on immediately after curing. The current method of coating with single pack or two pack polyurethanes requires several days to cure and residual odour to subside. Our UV coating has very low VOC emissions and residual solvents once cured. The coating is ECO –friendly and safe to use.
